Walking in Nature

COSTA RICA

Caminando Juntos “Walking Together” is a program designed to support families raising children who have been legally placed in their care. These families receive discipleship, parenting support, connections with other families in similar situations, and referrals to essential resources such as medical, psychological, and counseling services.

In addition, Servants of Hope Ministries offers mission trips to Costa Rica, where participants visit orphanages and the homes of families involved in Caminando Juntos, providing much-needed school supplies, mandatory uniforms, and assistance with small construction projects. Additionally, we partner with local churches for community outreach, which may include construction projects and evangelical efforts.

Nicaragua

We partner with a network of churches, supplying printed discipleship materials and Bibles to help them share the Good News with their communities. Weekly, in-depth discipleship classes follow these resources. We also host a pastor’s conference each year, offering a time of retreat and spiritual renewal through the Word. Additionally, we support the churches with supplies needed for community outreach, empowering them to share the message of Jesus.

Laura Erica is the Discipleship Director for Servants of Hope Ministries. She leads discipleship classes and teaches emerging leaders how to disciple while continuing to establish discipleship programs in local churches. Currently, Laura is working with twenty pastors and has 350 disciples she meets with weekly. Missions teams go to assist churches and the communities where she serves.
